Constantinos J. Papathomas, PhD, MBA
President & Chief Operating Officer Costas earned his MBA in
Finance from the Wharton School of Business at the University of
Pennsylvania, his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering & Applied
Physics from Case Western Reserve University, and his B.Sc. in Electrical
Engineering with highest honors from the Aristotelian University of
Thessaloniki in Greece. He is a Member of the Medical Group Management
Association.
He is a seasoned management specialist, with vast knowledge of several
industries, who, through his own private firm, focuses in the development
of hi-growth and turnaround management opportunities. He has been working
during the last five years with ASCSG and its affiliates, fascinated by
the unique synergies presented, when traditional medical Dermatology and
Plastic Surgery services are blended with ancillary cosmetic services and
electronic means of delivery (Internet).
His executive experience includes over fifteen years of operating
positions as President, or CEO & Chairman of the Board, or similar
assignments, in a wide array of corporations in the professional services
arena, such as physician practice management organizations and medical
practices, medical software development companies, merchant banking &
investment management firms, engineering consultancies, employee leasing
companies and hi-tech security solutions providers.
Dr. Papathomas was a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of
Massachusetts, Amherst, as well as an Instructor and Research Fellow at
Case Western Reserve University. He has taught courses and conducted
academic research at these institutions, has authored several research
publications, has been awarded a Fulbright Foundation scholarship, and has
performed research under awards from the National Science Foundation. |
